Another tough day at work done, the mayor has been acting a bit stranger lately and seems to have taken a liking to me and has been talking to me a lot more, though goes quiet as soon as anyone else enters their office... They're always so tense around the true leaders of the city, who are these REALLY tall and thin aliens that aren't bio-engineered and have been alive for around 900 years! They're only about halfway to their biological age of their species, which can apparently reach upwards of 2000 years!! It's utterly fascinating, but also highly terrifying if these guys will rule over future generations...
I know I haven't been here for long, but it makes me really miss my old home and community, everyone was nice and welcoming and I used to participate in so many local events outside with so many strangers and going to so many local festivals, I remember going to yearly pool parties and meeting up with all my friends, but we never stayed in touch after we were all done with school and they all moved up to high school while I was forced to stay home and take care of my family...
Sorry about that, I'm just incredibly homesick I suppose, even though my situation back home got to be so incredibly awful, maybe it's just the memories I've had of the town is all? I don't quite get it, and it has been impacting my job performance severely. If only there was a way to forget all of that, and I truly mean it.
Meanwhile, the mayor has finally told me the name they decided for themself, but I was also told to keep it a secret, so this secret I shall keep with myself only and nowhere else... It does make me wonder why however, but I shall not pry into such things for both mine and the mayor's sake.
In the meantime, I shall get back to focusing on my work, and making sure that the mayor is happy, healthy, and kept in check.
